The nose reveals notes of blackberry, oak, spices, cassis and subtle hints of red berries associated with a very discreet hint of cassis bud (in the background), tobacco, nutmeg and gray pepper. The palate is fruity, well-balanced, juicy, slightly tight and offers minerality/mineral frame, tension as well as a bit aerial. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fresh blackberry, fresh cherry and more slightly fresh cassis associated with touches of red berries as well as discreet touches of liquorice (in the background). Tannins are slightly dry. Good length. There is a fine bitterness as well as a fine salinity on the finish.
