Château Carbonnieux 2024 – Pessac-Léognan, Cru Classé

The nose is reserved, but offers tension and freshness. It opens with white flowers (acacia, apple blossom, honeysuckle), then ripe citrus fruits (lemon, grapefruit), green apple, green plum and tangy apricot. There is also a woody, lactic and slightly toasted hint. The palate is salivating, tangy and refreshing. It expresses an incisive tangy frame of citrus fruits (lemon, lime) and green apple, crisp white peach, a good bitterness of grapefruit, combined with white flowers (acacia, linden, apple blossom), a mineral and toasted hint. Good persistence on the palate, with a lively acidity.
