The nose is fresh, fruity and reveals good definition, some power and airiness in the approach. There are notes of fresh/ripe wild blackcurrant, dark berries and more lightly racy gravel/graphite combined with hints of violet, camphor, lily and a subtle varietal, almost mocha and Madagascar pepper edge. The palate is nicely fresh, juicy and reveals a nice acidic backbone, tension, energy, dynamism, a nice definition, a fine concentration, a fine grain and a fine hint of infusion. On the palate this wine expresses fresh/juicy wild blackcurrant, wild blackberry and more lightly violet notes combined with hints of black berries, graphite, camphor, very discreet zan, almond and a subtle, almost iodine-like, seductive quality. Good length. The tannins are elegant, sapid and smooth. Good work on the bitter taste.
