The nose is racy, mineral and powerful. It reveals notes of raspberries, blackberries, redcurrant and touches of chocolate combined with a discreet hint of gray pepper as well as an imperceptible hint of blond tobacco. The palate is fruity, fine, delicate, silky, beautifully built and offers tension, an acid frame, a slight suavity, gourmandise, a fleshiness as well as finesse. On the palate this wine expresses notes of blackberry, black berries and slight notes of ripe / acidulous redcurrant associated with slight touches of mocha, Zan as well as subtle / discreet woody touches, cardamom, racy minerality and at a discreet hint of coffee on the finish / persistence. Tannins are fine and very slightly chewy. There are subtle hints of sweet spices / vanilla on the persistence. Good length.
