The wine has a deep ruby color. The nose is silky, fragrant, subtly spicy. It expresses notes of sweet spices (vanilla, licorice, cinnamon stick, ground cumin), and lots of fleshy fruits, even jammy after aeration (fresh morello cherry, macerated cherry, black plum with a slight touch of prunes, blackberry, blackcurrant, crème de cassis, wild strawberry). We also find notes of dark chocolate, mint chocolate, cocoa, roasted hazelnut, a touch of coffee, roasted bouquet garni and dried wild flowers (cornflower, wildflowers). On the palate, the wine is concentrated, firm, with a solid structure of tannins (a little dry in the mid-palate). The flavors are rich and juicy: we find notes of morello cherry, blackcurrant, wild plum, wild strawberry, macerated cherry, as well as hints of torrefaction (sweet coffee, toasted hazelnut) and spicies (licorice, cumin, clove). The finish is persistent and sapid, offering juiciness, fresh acidity, as well as a fine touch of cocoa.
