The nose is fruity and offers some complexity, fine grain, concentration and elegance. There are notes of blackcurrant, violet/lys and more slightly star anise combined with hints of wild red berries, rose and fine cinnamon, nutmeg and a subtle hint of vanilla. The palate is fruity, balanced and offers a fine creaminess, good definition, an acidic frame, mastery and tension. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy blackberry, creamy blackcurrant and more slightly fresh/crisp wild red berries combined with hints of lily, lilac, racy (almost iodine) minerality as well as fine hints of liquorice, chocolate and a discreet touch of vanilla. Good length.
