The nose is elegant, fresh, precise and reveals intensity and a lovely fine, powerful grain. There are notes of bright raspberry, red berries and slightly fresh/ripe blackcurrant combined with hints of limestone/terroir, cherry blossom, pepper and hints of bergamot and sweet spices. The palate is fruity and offers freshness, a nice acidic backbone, harmony and a nice energy. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fresh/acidic blackberry, strawberry and more lightly bright/acidic red berries combined with hints of cherry blossom, lily, graphite, star anise and a subtle hint of toasted almond, bergamot and pepper. The tannins are elegant, supple and delicate. A subtle hint of mocha in the background.
