Château Cap de Faugères 2022 – Castillon Côtes-de-Bordeaux

The nose is fruity, fresh, frank and mineral. It reveals notes of wild blackberry, aromatic herbs and small notes of pepper associated with almost rosemary touches and pepper. Beautiful brilliance of the fruit. The palate is beautifully structured, supple, offering freshness and minerality, a beautiful verticality as well as a tangy frame. It reveals notes of juicy and pulpy blackberry, violet and small notes of bright/juicy small red fruits associated with touches of cornflower, star anise as well as toasted hints. The texture is slightly mellowness. A certain chewiness, bringing delicacy. There is also a subtle floral hint on the nose and palate. A fine liquorice note on the finish.
