There are notes of bright wild blackcurrant, juicy black plum and more lightly of violet combined with hints of juicy Morello cherry, juicy/fresh red berries as well as fine hints of lily, graphite, cardamom, fine hints of sweet spices and toastiness. The palate is fruity, elegant, well-balanced, nicely racy and reveals juiciness, freshness, sapidity, minerality, and a nice acidic backbone, tension in finesse, precision, nice accuracy, density in finesse, a discrete slightly tight side, a stretched side as well as energy. On the palate this wine expresses juicy/crisp blackcurrant, fresh/crisp blackberry and slightly crisp cherry notes combined with touches of juicy berry, blueberry, liquorice, cardamom, a subtle floral, sappy edge as well as hints of toasted almond, nutmeg and a subtle hint of fresh vanilla. Nice acidity. Good discreet work on the bitter taste. Subtle hint of juicy blueberry and hazelnut in the background. Good length and persistence. A nice classic with elegance and finesse. Nice acidity on the finish.
