CHATEAU CANTEMERLE 2022 – Haut-Médoc, Grand Cru Classé

CHATEAU CANTEMERLE 2022 – Haut-Médoc, Grand Cru Classé

The nose is elegant, racy and offers depth and a little intensity, it needs to be decanted. It reveals notes of small black berries, infusion and small notes of small roasted-Mediterranean red fruits associated with hints of pepper, camphor and fine spices. On the palate, the wine is well-built, supple, mineral, racy and offers delicacy, strength/power and mastered precision. It expresses notes of juicy/pulpy blackberry, bright raspberry and more discreetly, bright small wild red berries associated with hints of star anise, an almost herbal touch, as well as fine notes of cornflower and tobacco. Good length. Fine touches of vanilla and toast in the background. Beautifully fresh and supple. A wine with a hint of bright blue plum on the finish, elegant darkness and a nice minerality and offers touches of licorice and even aniseed in the background.
