The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The first nose is fragrant and savoury, with smoky (even slightly meaty) and spicy (white pepper, liquorice, vanilla, nutmeg) notes, which are associated with fresh and precise fruity aromas (morello cherry, red cherry, red plum, strawberry, crushed raspberry, blueberry) on the second nose. We also find herbaceous (dried mint) and floral (dried rose, dried cornflower, violet) aromas, associated with a hint of torrefaction (coffee, toasted wood in the background). The palate is gourmand, round and savoury. We find generous enveloping notes of ripe fruit (red cherry with a hint of roasted cherry, wild strawberry, crushed raspberry, red plum, dark chocolate plum, wild blackberry), a tasty side of sweet spices (liquorice, a touch of vanilla , nutmeg, white pepper in the background), as well as a fine herbaceous and floral notes (dried mint, dried rose, dried cornflower). The tannins are fine, sapid and chocolatey. Beautiful persistence on the palate, with gourmandise of cherry in chocolate and the freshness of wild mint. Beautiful persistence with a smoky and chocolatey touch, balanced by a nice acidity.
