Château Canon Pecresse 2022 – Canon Fronsac

The nose is fruity, fresh, sracy. It expresses notes of fleshy/fresh blackberry, fleshy/fresh raspberry and more lightly – cornflower, associated with touches of small, fairly ripe red fruits as well as hints of sweet blond tobacco, tonka bean and a very discreet almost sappy hint. The palate is fruity and offers freshness, minerality, gourmandise, a juicy/fresh frame, roundness, suppleness, fullness, a lovely substance and texture. It expresses notes of fleshy/pulp bigarreau cherry, fleshy/pulpy raspberry and more slightly – fleshy/pulp blackberry associated with hints of small fleshy/pulpy blue fruits as well as hints of toasted/chocolate, fresh hazelnut. and a fine touch of sense of place and salinity. Beautiful freshness and minerality. A good job on the good bitters in the background.
