The nose offers power, intensity as well as a slight concentration. It reveals notes of fresh blackberry, fresh strawberry and Sichuan pepper associated with a hint of flowers, slight notes of nutmeg/spices as well as a discreet woody hint. The palate is well-balanced and offers an acid frame, a slight freshness/minerality, fat, suavity, a slight gourmandise as well as unctuosity. In the mouth this wine expresses notes of fleshy/ripe blackberry, cassis and slight notes of strawberry, redcurrant associated with hints of chocolate, toasted oak as well as a subtle hint of nutmeg/vanilla. Tannins are well-built and a bit firm. There is a slight/discreet hint of bitterness on the finish. Good length and persistence.
