The nose is fruity and offers concentration, a certain elegance and complexity. The wine needs to be decanted. There are notes of pulpy violet plum, pepper and more slightly ripe wild red berries combined with fine toasted notes, fresh nutmeg and an imperceptible almost saline touch. The palate is mineral and offers fruit, a certain tension, gourmandise, roundness, finesse and an acidic backbone. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy boysenberry, fleshy/juicy cherry and more slightly violet combined with hints of lily, Cuben pepper as well as fine nuances of nutmeg, sweet spices, a discreet hint of cinnamon and a subtle touch of vanilla. Good length. Sapidity on the finish. A wine that needs time to reveal itself. Currently it is discreetly tight/closed.
