The wine has a ruby color of medium intensity. The nose first expresses smoky and slightly meaty notes, which disappear after aeration. Then we find the aromas of wild strawberry, morello cherry, raspberry coulis, roasted red cherry, blackcurrant, blueberry jam and crème de cassis, associated with notes of wild mint, blackcurrant bud, licorice, cloves, ground cumin, violet, dried cornflower, as well as a touch of roasting (toasted hazelnut, toasted bread, mild coffee). The palate is precise, fresh and straight. It expresses notes of fresh blackcurrant, morello cherry, red cherry, redcurrant jelly, wild strawberry and wild blackberry, combined with elegant spicy (licorice, toasted vanilla, clove, grated nutmeg), floral notes (fresh violet, fresh cornflower) and a hint of torrefaction (mild coffee, toasted hazelnut). The finish is gourmand, juicy, with nice acidity and liveliness. The tannins are polished, fine, a bitgrippy, but integrated. Beautiful savoury and gourmand persistence.
