The nose is concentrated and tight. It reveals notes of cassis and liquorice associated with small notes of crushed blackberry, toasted oak, a hint of vanilla, a very discreet hint of coffee as well as subtle hints of cornflower/violet and spices. The palate is fresh, juicy, well-balanced and offers a good definition, precision, tension, a fine juiciness, a fine unctuosity, suavity, gourmandize as well as dynamism. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fleshy blackberry and crushed cassis associated with small notes of liquorice, spices, black cherry, chocolate as well as subtle touches of sweet spices and almond. Tannins are fine and well-built. Good length. Chews on the finish.
