Château Calon Ségur 2015 – Saint-Estèphe, 3ème Cru Classé

The nose is racy, slightly tight and offers a slight power, depth, a nice harmony as well as beautiful elegance. It reveals notes of red berries, blackberries, strawberries and slight touches of cassis associated with discreet hints of liquorice stick, tobacco as well as a very discreet hint of violet, Sichuan pepper and toasted hint . The palate is fruity, juicy, delicate, mineral, gourmand, elegant and offers a nice tension, dynamism, harmony, a slight acid frame, a slight delicacy / finesse, a small fat, a nice guideline as well as a pretty expression of the fruit. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy blackberry, juicy cassis and slight touches of crushed raspberry, ripe strawberry combined with a discreet touch of plum, slight touches of mocha, caramelized wood, sweet spices as well as a discreet hint of Bourbon vanilla. Tannisn are fine, elegant and straight. Beautiful length.
