The nose is fruity and offers a certain concentration (in finesse), a little power as well as a nice sparkle of the fruit. It reveals notes of ripe cassis, small bright red currents and slightly violet associated with a touch of raspberry, blueberry, saffron as well as a subtle hint of camphor / incense, chocolate and evolving spices. The palate is fruity, balanced and offers creaminess, gourmandize, freshness, good definition, a certain elegance, precision as well as accuracy. Nice creaminess/ richness while freshness and mastery. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/pulpy blackberry, creamy cassis and more slightly violet associated with touches of small pulpy red fruits, toasted almond, nutmeg, with fine hints of tobacco, a subtle hint of Bigarreau cherry (in the background) as well as hints of chocolate and incense (base). Tannins are elegant and smooth.
