The nose is aromatic, mineral (dry stone and a hint of graphite), with toasted and smoky touches that appear after aeration (hazelnut, toasted almond, hint of coffee with a good bitterness), complemented by dark chocolate and cocoa. The fruits on the nose are fresh and juicy (morello cherry, cassis, red cherry, tangy strawberry and crushed raspberry). Then, we find sweet spices on the freshness (licorice, cardamom, touch of white pepper), a hint of dried mint, fresh tobacco and cassis bud, with a touch of violet in the background. The palate is slender, straight, elegant, with accuracy, freshness and juiciness. It expresses the flavors of ripe fruits (morello cherry, cassis, red cherry, strawberry, raspberry), liquorice, cardamom, a touch of white pepper, a herbaceous hint of cassis leaf and stalk in the background as well as the tangy side of cocoa nibs. The tannins are solid, a little grippy but with a fine grain. The acidity is salivating and brings balance. Good length.
