The nose is fruity, racy and offers an iodised minerality. There are notes of crushed blackberry, fleshy strawberry and, more slightly, redcurrant, combined with fine saline, star anise and chocolate notes. The palate is fruity with juiciness, acidity, minerality, good definition, iodine and a creamy/unctuous mouth feel. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of blackcurrant, fleshy/pulpy raspberry and slightly red currant combined with hints of tart berries, fine cocoa, salinity and a subtle hint of grey pepper and roast. The tannins are supple and precise. Good length. Fine power on the finish.
