The nose is racy and offers power and fine grain. There are notes of nutmeg, grey pepper and, to a lesser extent, wild blackberry, combined with a touch of blackcurrant, lily and a discreet hint of spice. The palate is fruity and offers juiciness, minerality, good definition, roundness, a little unctuousness (with an airy/light side) and a fine acidic frame. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of pulpy blackberry, unctuous blackcurrant and, more slightly, chocolate, combined with hints of caramelisation, strawberry, toasted almond, nutmeg and a subtle hint of bergamot. The tannins are precise, fine and powdery. Good length. A touch of positive cocoa bitterness on the finish.
