The nose is elegant, aromatic and shows some richness, delicacy, good definition and fine grain. It has notes of fleshy strawberry, pulpy blackberry and, to a lesser extent, black currant liqueur, combined with hints of bourbon vanilla, fine points of fresh blond tobacco, a hint of crushed red berries, toasted hazelnut and a delicate hint of iodine and liquorice. The palate is mineral and offers freshness, fruit, good definition, a certain gourmandize, a racy minerality, roundness, a discreetly tight structure and substance. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy blackberry, black currant liqueur, fleshy raspberry and, more slightly, coffee, combined with hints of fresh violet, racy minerality, as well as hints of graphite, tobacco, fine mocha and toast.
