The wine has a deep ruby color. The aromas are expressive and warm – there are notes of chocolate sour cherry, black plum, ripe red cherry, strawberry, as well as some present, but subtle woody notes – vanilla, toasted bread, cinnamon. There are also spicy notes of white pepper and nutmeg, with the freshness of mint and liquorice. On the palate, the wine expresses flavors of ripe black and red fruit (morello cherry, blackberry, blackcurrant, red cherry, raspberry) with the sweetness of crème de cassis, dark chocolate, spice (clove, liquorice) and torrefaction (coffee, toat). There is good substance and maturity on the palate, with roundness and velvety but present tannins. A full-bodied and refined wine, with great concentration and balance. A wine to keep for several years.
