The nose offers juiciness and a beautiful bouquet of ripe fruit, accompanied by notes of sweet spices. We find the aromas of morello cherry jam, crème de cassis, fresh morello cherry and blackcurrant, wild strawberry, red cherry and raspberry, as well as touches of cinnamon, grilled vanilla, slightly roasted hazelnut, grated nutmeg, lily and peppermint. On the palate, the attack is supple and fruity, in the mid-palate, we find a firm structure and a bit drying young tannins. The wine expresses flavors of morello cherry, bigarreau cherry, fresh blackcurrant, wild strawberry, as well as spicy (licorice, more slightly – vanilla), floral (violet, cornflower) and herbaceous (mint, fresh thyme) notes. A beautiful acidity which balances the drying side of tannins and their grainy texture. Concentration, good fruity substance and a powerful structure – a wine whose organoleptic profile could evolve and round out.
