The nose is fresh, fruity, racy and intense. There are notes of dark berries, fresh, ripe wild raspberry and more lightly star anise combined with touches of ripe red berries, a hint of nutmeg and a very discreet touch of vanilla and pepper. The palate is fruity, balanced and reveals freshness, minerality, a certain volume, good definition, concentration, power, gourmandize and some powderiness in the mouth. On the palate this wine has ripe, juicy wild blackcurrant, raspberry and more lightly crushed berry notes with hints of lily, fairly ripe cherry and fine racy minerality with a hint of mocha and peony in the background. Good length. The tannins are fine and mellow. Good work on the bitter taste.
