Château Bourgneuf 2020 – Pomerol

Château Bourgneuf 2020 – Pomerol

The nose is nice, elegant, gourmand, harmonious, full of richness and concentration in elegance and lightness. This wine expresses lightness. The powdery nose has notes of tonka bean, mocha, cornflower and small notes of concentrated blackberries associated with hints of bright cassis, cardamom, bright blue plum as well as a discreet hint of lily, roasted cherries and with a hint of spice and a very discreet note of sage. The palate is fruity with freshness and minerality. We find the delicate discreet powdery expression in the background with richness in elegance, finesse and a nice tanginess. There is a certain concentration, accuracy and gourmandise. We have a certain density in balance. It reveals notes of bright cassis, crushed blue berries and small notes of roasted raspberries associated with touches of pulpy, luscious blue plums, cardamom, camphor as well as hints of mocha and fine toasted notes. We also have a hint of Sichuan pepper and vanilla. The tasting offers a nice delicate and unctuous touch with some airiness. There is a mellow finish on the lingering aftertaste.
