The nose is well managed and reveals some creaminess, a fine power and richness. There are notes of fleshy strawberry, creamy blackcurrant and more lightly of red berries combined with fine touches of star anise, an almost roasted hint of the fruit as well as fine hints of caramelised oak and a discreet touch of vanilla. The palate is mineral and reveals freshness, volume, creaminess and good balance. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of pulpy/creamy blackberry, strawberry and slightly cherry, combined with delicate touches of violet, lilac, fine chocolate and a subtle hint of graphite and toastiness. The tannins are sapid and mellow.
