CHÂTEAU BLAIGNAN 2022 – Médoc

CHÂTEAU BLAIGNAN 2022 – Médoc

The nose is « frank », with a certain controlled power, depth, a certain concentration and that will benefit from decanting. It reveals notes of boysenberry, crushed strawberry and small notes of crushed raspberry, associated with touches of cardamom, sweet spices, rhubarb as well as discreet hints, almost of aromatic herbs. The palate is well-built, supple, fresh and airy, with good energy and structure, and a little mellowness of fruit/fleshy. It expresses notes of fleshy/juicy cherry, small pulpy red berries and small notes of violet, associated with touches of fresh cassis as well as hint of iris, nutmeg and spice. Tannins are tasty. Good length. A very discreet hint of sappy in the background, with freshness and minerality.
