The nose is aromatic and offers a lovely grain and fine power/intensity. It reveals notes of black pepper, crushed cassis and small notes of flowery red pepper, associated with touches of crushed strawberry, as well as fine hints of nutmeg and vanilla. The palate is nicely fruity, offering suavity, a little fat, a mineral frame, precision, tension and suppleness. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of juicy/pulpy blackberry, cherry and small notes of violet, associated with touches of racy minerality, sweet tobacco, as well as a hint of red pepper, sappy/varietal and toasted. Good length. Lovely gourmandise from the barrel on the finish/persistence.
