Château Beychevelle 2006 – Saint-Julien, Cru Classé

The nose is fruity, aromatic and offers power as well as a fine and very slightly tight grain. It reveals notes of ripe cassis, ripe raspberry and small notes of ripe cassis associated with small touches of lily, violet, Timut pepper as well as very fine hints of underwood, smoke and an imperceptible hint of truffel. The palate is fruity, well-balaénced and offers a good definition, a juicy frame, tension, gourmandize, a beautiful freshness, power as well as precision. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fleshy cassis, fleshy wild blackberry and small notes of fleshy small wild red berries associated with fine touches of incense, smoke, underwood as well as a very discreet hint of mushroom. Tannins are elegant and precise. Good tannic charge. Good length.
