The nose is mellow and offers a certain small power, a precise, frank and tense grain. It expresses notes of mellow blackcurrant, mellow raspberry and more slightly – violet associated with touches of star anise, bourbon vanilla, a hint of infusion, salinity and sweet pepper. The palate is fruity and offers juiciness, suavity, a mineral and tangy frame, good definition, delicacy, energy, a certain straightness. It expresses notes of pulpy/juicy blackberry, bright blackcurrant and more slightly – cornflower associated with touches of lily, bright/juicy redcurrants, racy minerality, as well as discreet hints of sweet pepper, tobacco and nutmeg. The tannins are fresh, tasty. Nice sapidity on the finish/persistence.
