The nose is aromatic and reveals a certain gourmandize, toastiness and good definition. There are notes of fresh, pulpy boysenberry, pulpy, fresh raspberry and more lightly blueberry combined with fine touches of zan, racy/almost iodine minerality, lily and fine Bourbon vanilla. The palate is mineral and offers freshness, good definition, juiciness, precision, fine tension, accuracy, masterful concentration and depth. On the palate this wine expresses juicy, ripe blackcurrant, fresh, crisp cherry and more lightly juicy, ripe red berry notes combined with hints of iodine, star anise, almond and fine chocolate and toast. The tannins are racy, structured and mellow. Good length.
