The nose is peppery and spicy. It reveals notes of blackberry, Cubeb pepper and small notes of cornflower associated with touches of spices. The palate is mineral, discreetly tight and offers fruit, freshness as well as a fine tension. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy cassis, violet and small notes of clove associated with touches of toast, tobacco as well as discreet hints of nutmeg. The finish tightens. Presence of a subtle hint of liquorice/chocolate and a subtle sappy hint in the background. Nice persistence.
