Château Berliquet 2022 – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru, Grand Cru Classé

The nose is fruity, with a light creamy touch, an elegant and creamy texture. There are notes of blueberry, creamy blackberry, and more discreetly crushed blackcurrant, associated with touches of licorice stick, bright wild strawberry, as well as hints of Sichuan pepper, graphene and discreet touches of lilac and tobacco. The palate is nicely built, fruity and fresh, with a beautiful brightness and great juiciness. The fruits are nicely juicy on the palate, with notes of bright blackcurrant, bright cherry, and, more discreetly, blackberry, associated with touches of small bright black berries, nutmeg, lilac, as well as hints of blond tobacco, graphene and fine touches of vanilla, with a hint of liquorice, almost cola. Tannins are sapid, elegant and racy. The wine finishes with a beautiful freshness and great purity, with a fine chewiness on the finish and a nicely tannic persistence. A discreet almost earthy note, accompanied by a slight caramelization, is felt in the background.
