Nice elegant nose which offers a beautiful, powerful and intense grain. We find notes of quite ripe cassis, morello cherry and small notes of licorice stick associated with touches of menthol/eucalyptus, cornflower/violet as well as fine hints of clove and a subtle hint of undergrowth. A very discreet almost cinnamon hint in the background. The palate is nicely fresh, mineral, racy and offers precision, a melodious side as well as a certain deepness. A beautiful airy side in its small richness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy blackberry and quite ripe (but fresh) small black fruits associated with hints of cornflowers, menthol, cloves as well as discreet hints of fresh pepper, cinnamon and fresh undergrowth. Tannins are fresh, well-built and supple. Good length. Presence of a very discreet saline hint on the persistence.
