The nose is elegant, powerful and offers a fine concentration and a fine grain. It reveals notes of wild cassis, Boysen berry and small notes of Cuben pepper associated with touches of small berries, flowers (violet, cornflower), fine touches of liquorice, red fruits as well as hints of mild tobacco, chocolate and a discreet hint of toasted almond/roasted. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers juiciness, minerality, precision, a fine generosity as well as gourmandize. On the palate this wine expresses notes of cassis, blackberry and small notes of violet associated with small touches of fleshy raspberry, liquorice, chocolate, toasted as well as a discreet hint of flowers, green pepper and nutmeg/spices. Tannins are elegant.
