Château Bellevue 2016 – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru Classé

The nose is elegant, fruity, aromatic and offers power as well as a small gourmandise. It reveals notes of fleshy strawberry and fleshy blackberry associated with small touches of fleshy wild raspberry, blueberry, violet, as well as small touches of caramelization, hazelnut, sweet spices and discreet hints of liquorice hints. The palate is fruity, well-balanced and offers a small juiciness, a good definition, a fine juicy frame, tension, precision, a beautiful gourmandise, a beautiful grain as well as fine suavity. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy cassis / blackberry, fleshy raspberry and small notes of fleshy strawberry associated with small / fine toasted touches, caramelization, chocolate as well as a very discreet hint of hazelnut. Good length. Tannins are fine, elegant and chewy. There are a very discreet hint of tonka bean and an imperceptible hint of almost saline minerality on the persistence. (2020+)
