Château Bellevue 2010 – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru, Grand Cru Classé

The nose is elegant, spicy and harmonious. We find notes of pepper, sweet spices and small notes of wild cassis associated with touches of small fresh black fruits as well as hints of graphite, incense as well as a subtle hint of vanilla and star anise. The palate is nicely juicy, acidulous, gourmand, elegant and offers a certain creaminess, precision, tension, an enveloping side, a lovely finesse of the grain as well as a beautiful acidulous frame. A lovely freshness and acidity of the fruit. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy redcurrants, acidulous cassis and small notes of cornflower associated with touches of liquorice stick as well as a subtle hint of almond, clove, undergrowth, incense and almost eucalyptus. Tannins are precise, supple, sapid and discreetly tight. A subtle hint of vanilla in the background. A certain palatability on the finish.
