The nose is fresh, racy and reveals a certain intensity/power as well as a fine grain. There are fresh, juicy blackcurrant, pepper and lighter blueberry notes combined with hints of fresh raspberry as well as fine hints of sense of place and a touch of grey pepper. The palate is fruity, racy and offers freshness, minerality, good definition of fruit, some purity of fruit, big freshness and a nice chalky racy texture. On the palate this wine expresses notes of pulpy, fresh blackberry, crisp raspberry and more lightly peony combined with hints of fresh lily, fresh red berries as well as fine varietal hints and a discreet touch of tonka bean and chocolate. Nice freshness, roundness, finesse in its fatness, sapidity and a touch of iodine in the background. The tannins are smooth, elegant and silky. Good length.
