The nose is worth decanting. There are notes of blackberry, spices and, more slightly, violets, combined with touches of wild berries and fine points of fresh pepper (in the background). The palate is fruity and offers freshness, a fine crunch, energy, a certain aromatic purity, fatness and a very fine unctuousness. On the palate this wine expresses notes of crisp strawberry, crisp red berries and more slightly violet combined with hints of fresh/crunchy blackcurrant, fine hints of fresh liquorice, racy minerality as well as a subtle hint of sense of place, toasted almonds and discreet hints of fresh spices. Good length. Subtle hint of caramelisation in the background / on the finish.
