Château Bélair Monange 2010 – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru, 1er Grand Cru Classé B

The nose is elegant and offers a certain intensity, power (but always full of elegance) as well as a small aerial side and freshness. It reveals notes of dry blackberry, small quite ripe wild black fruits, quite ripe wild strawberry associated with touches of underwood, tobacco box, cloves, very discreet hints of almond, hazelnut, mushroom and a hint of Badiane (in the background). The palate is fruity and offers gourmandize, a fine acidulous frame, a beautiful matter as well as unctuosity, a fine aerial side, a beautiful silky/gourmand/full of delicacy matter and a very discreetly tight grain. On the palate this wine expresses notes of quite ripe wild cassis, dry blackberry, small notes of wild strawberry associated with touches of wild raspberry violet, lily as well as hints of underwood, dry leaf, fine hints of tobacco box, a discreet hint of camphor, nutmeg and an imperceptible hint of pepper (in the background). Good length. A very fine saline hint on the finish/persistence. A very beautiful wine.
