CHÂTEAU BEL ORME TRONQUOY DE LALANDE 2022 – Haut-Médoc

The nose is aromatic, floral, with fresh fruit, a certain power/intensity, and a fine, powerful, taut grain. It reveals notes of boysenberry, wild cassis and bright wild red berries, associated with touches of nutmeg, Madagascar pepper and discreet hints of eucalyptus. The palate is well-built, fresh, with a lovely velvety grain, a little creaminess, gourmandise and a fresh frame. It expresses notes of boysenberry, crushed strawberry and small notes of fleshy/pulpy cassis, associated with touches of crushed blackberry, as well as hints of blue plum, chocolate and green cardamom. Tannins are mellow and gourmand. A well-built and gourmand wine, fresh and stretched out, nicely mineral and precise. A fine, sappy side on the finish, with a hint of salt/iodine and hint of black pepper on the nose.
