The nose is fruity and offers a very fine freshness as well as power. It reveals notes of blackberry, pepper, small notes of violet associated with small touches of strawberry, a hint of plum, fleshy/pulpy cherry as well as very fine hints of grey pepper and spices. The palate is fruity, mineral, well-balanced and offers juiciness, gourmandize, a good definition, suavity, a good finesse of the grain, freshness as well as a fine acidulous frame. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/fresh blackberry, juicy/fresh cassis, small notes of juicy/fresh raspberry associated with touches of violet, cornflower, fine hints of chocolate/tonka bean, caramelization as well as a discreet hint of mild tobacco (in the background) and a very discreet hint of pepper (in the background). Tannins are well-built. Good length. There is a bitterness (a good one), a hint of chocolate (brings gourmandize) on the persistence.
