The nose is elegant, aromatic and reveals controlled power, intensity, some freshness as well as fine and powerful grain. There are notes of full-bodied cherry, bright plum and, more slightly, full-bodied red berries, combined with hints of vanilla, lily, nutmeg and a very discreet touch of pepper (in the background). The palate is balanced and shows minerality, freshness, certain volume, fruit-forward character, fine tension, juiciness and a little linearity. On the palate this wine expresses bright raspberry, pulpy cherry and more lightly fresh violet, lilac notes combined with touches of racy minerality as well as fine nuances of nutmeg, cardamom and a subtle hint of fresh blond tobacco. Positive (and delicate) bitterness in the background / persistence. A fine saline touch and a very fine chewiness on the finish/persistence.
