Château Beauséjour héritiers Duffau-Lagarrosse 2018 – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru, 1er Grand Cru Classé B

The nose is racy and offers a certain power as well as deepness and intensity. It reveals notes of pulpy cassis, bright blackberry and bright raspberry associated with touches of Quetsche plum, a discreet hint of dry cassis, violet, zan, a discreet hint of camphor and toasted/caramelization. The palate is well-balanced, beautifully racy and precision, a beautiful freshness, density, minerality, a beautiful definition, tension, deepness, a fine/racy grain as well as power. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/fresh cassis juicy/ripe violet plum and small notes of red berries associated with touches of cherry, violet, blueberry as well as fine hints of liquorice stick, mild tobacco and discreet hints of chocolate/caramelization. Tannins are fine and elegant. A very discreet hint of bitterness of cocoa on the persistence.
