Château Beauséjour Héritiers Duffau-Lagarrosse 2017 – Saint-Emilion Grand Cru Classé

The nose is powerful, fresh, mineral, racy and aromatic. It reveals notes of cassis, fresh flowers and wild strawberry associated with fines touches of toasted, gray pepper as well as subtle touches of nut (in the background).  The palate is fruity, well-balanced, racy and very slightly tight, beautifuly gourmand and offers a good definiton, a fine suavity, precision, straightness, a good freshness, dynamism, a beautiful guideline, a beautiful finesse of the grain, purity as well as a beautiful racy minerality. On the palate this wine expresses notes of cassis, ripe red berries and more slightly crunchy small fruits associated with fine touches of flowers (cornflower, violet), racy minerality as well as subtle hints of liqourice, almond, toasted and sweet spices. Tannins are fine and slightly firm. Good length. There is a hint of cocoa and nut on the persistence/aftertaste. Very fine chews on the persistence.
