Château Beauséjour Duffaut Lagarosse 2022 – Saint Emilion Grand Cru Grand Cru Classé

The nose is fruity, elegant, nicely racy, deep and offers a racy power as well as a little “fruit maceration” side. We find notes of fleshy/juicy blackcurrant, fleshy/juicy blackberry and small notes of small, bright black fruits associated with touches of liquorice stick, sense of place, fine hints of nutmeg, spices as well as a discreet hint of bergamot, violet and a very discreet hint of Sichuan pepper. All the power and elegance of limestone! The palate is fruity, balanced and offers juiciness, a tangy frame, minerality, good definition, a certain tension as well as accuracy. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/pulp blackberry, bright blackcurrant and small notes of fleshy/juicy strawberry associated with touches of star anise, cornflower, hints of bergamot, graphite, small fleshy/juicy black fruits as well as a hint of lily, a sense of place (local biotop / terroir), a subtle saline hint (in the background), a discreet hint of sweet blond tobacco and almond. The tannins are elegant, precise and soft. Nice sapid, aromatic and long persistence.
