The nose is fruity, elegant and offers power (in delicacy), finesse, fine concentration, and a lovely finesse to the beautifully racy grain. There are notes of bright boysenberry, bright strawberry and, more slightly, pulpy cherry, combined with fine touches of pulpy blue berries, lily, as well as discreet hints of blueberry, racy minerality, a very discreet hint of pepper and salinity. The palate is fruity and reveals juiciness, accuracy, precision, a nice airy side in its richness (while delicate), a nice purity, balance, a nice finesse of the racy grain. On the palate, this wine expresses notes of pulpy/juicy blackberry, bright raspberry and, more slightly, blueberry, combined with hints of star anise and a subtle, almost sappy touch. Good length. The tannins are sapid and creamy. A fine iodine/saline edge to the finish/persistence.
