The nose is spicy and reveals fine power and tightness. There are notes of boysenberry, juicy/pulpy blackcurrant and more lightly of fresh strawberry combined with hints of violet and a hint of nutmeg. The palate is fresh and reveals good definition, accuracy, minerality, freshness, and energy. On the palate this wine expresses notes of fresh blackberry, fresh/crisp raspberry and more lightly fresh cherry combined with hints of flowers as well as fine nutmeg, vanilla and a discreet touch of fresh tobacco (in the background). Good length. Subtle chewiness. Slightly mellow tannins. Harmonious wine.
