The nose is racy and offers concentration as well as a certain power. It reveals notes of very ripe blackberry, cooked cassis, small notes of quite ripe small wild fruits associated with touches of very ripe raspberry, small very ripe blue berries as well as fine hints of liquorice, sugared mild tobacco, camphor, very fine hints of graphite, a subtle hint of vanilla, grey pepper and a subtle hint of spices. The palate is elegant, gourmand, very discreetly tight and offers a beautiful definition, a beautiful precision as well as a beautiful finesse of the grain, a beautiful purity of the fruit and tension. On the palate this wine expresses notes of crushed cassis, very ripe wild blackberry, small notes of cornflower, small bright blue fruits associated with touches of raspberry as well as hints of chocolate, liquorice, toasted, tobacco, a hint of underwood and a saline hint. Tannins are precise, elegant, racy and very discreetly firm. Good length. A subtle hint of salinity and tonka bean on the persistence.
